The aim of the workshop is to consider the legacy of print in queer communication, connect people that appreciate hard copy in a “post-paper world”, and offer an opportunity to engage with a medium that might expand the dimensions of your work.
Workshop activities include the practical use of paper material to make a zine, offering a demo on sewing a pamphlet or glueing to create a small book. What you create could be a means to distribute information, archive or commemorate an event, or self-publish written or visual work.
Participants are encouraged to bring work they wish to translate into a zine, but tools and materials will be provided to learn techniques.
